New Boat

The boys (Michael, Anthony & Steve) have bought a new boat! An 18.5ft Bermuda 565 and we're naming it LADS & ME which is an anagram of all our initials.
Lucie is talking much more and repeats all the words you tell her in her own language of course. She says Thank You too.
She loves the chocolate advent calendar she got from Grandma Locke, is fascinated by the Christmas tree baubles and is addicted to watching DVD's in her armchair. (more photos on our blog page)
There is no more crawling for her now and she can get up to a good canter, almost running. Her first tooth is almost here on the right at the top. Granny & Grandpa Locke got her the cutest Elf outfit for Christmas from Oz.
The second baby locke is doing well. We still haven't chosen a name for him (see our poll on our blog page). His head is now pointing downwards and so his movements have quietened with the lack of space, thank goodness.
The weather is very humid and hot at the moment. Lucie is enjoying being outside, the cool ice blocks (ice lollys) and swimming in Jenni's (her carer's) pool. Her Wendy House has arrived, we just have to paint it and put it together - see our blog page if you like to make a contribution!

Dancing Baby

Lucie is walking! And along with her new found talent she has developed her own dancing style too!

All is well here. We have all had colds but recovering. The weather is getting warmer and we're looking forward to Christmas and a hot summer at the beach. We took Lucie for a picnic at Rainbow Springs which she loved! We've already received a gift for the new baby (thank you Amanda) and I have been out buying little blue clothes and struggling with a baby brain to try and figure how old he will be in which season? I'm still in shock over the price of a double buggy too!!

It's a BOY!

Had our 20 week scan today and we are having a little boy!! We are sooo happy! Everything is fine and doing what it should be. I have been eating like crazy and the baby has been moving heaps. Lucie has been taking a few steps. Still no teeth. She had her first trip (and last I hope) in an ambulance. Our child genius managed too get the childproof lid off a bottle of liquid paracetamol and was downing the strawberry flavoured syrup when I caught her. She thankfully didn't get much so we have put it down to 'self medication'. She is now recovering from an ear infection but is fine. She can say lots more words but my favourite is "peek-a-boo" (currently our answerphone message). Work is going well for both of us. Michael got a $1000 bonus and will hopefully get another before Christmas! We are over the moon my brother Ryan and angel girlfriend Aimee have decided to tie the knot next March but gutted we won't be able to make the wedding as our little boy is arriving at the same time. Maybe we'll have to call him Ryan in their honour?

First Birthday

Lucie's birthday party was a great success. She LOVES her new swing and all of the hundreds of toys & gifts she received. Her Duck cake turned out great, can't believe I made it! She stood from sitting for the first time too. And she is now taking one step before landing on her bottom. He animal noises have improved and she has added sheep to her repertoire. She can say light, tap, car, boat, turtle, recognises lots of animals, and points at everything wanting to know it's name. I had a lovely birthday too. Along with many gifts I got a fabulous Moochi dress from Michael, making all the girls jealous! Our outside 'pagola with roof' is finished and was a such a blessing for the party when the rain came! We have now given Grandpa his next project for Christmas... a Wendy House!

Baby Locke

Went for my scan today and everything is ok with the baby.

Lucie is now walking when you hold her hands but is still very wobbly. She has added a pig to her animal noises which is so funny!
Michael's Dad is building us a kind of pagola with roof over our patio. So Michael has been busy undercoating and painting wood.
We have decided on a small family BBQ with a few close friends for a joint Erin & Lucie Birthday and Housewarming Party on Saturday 27th September.
Work is going well for both of us. Michael is exceeding his targets and everyone I see tells me it's great to have me back!

Home Sweet Home

We have finally moved into our own home after lots of fixing up. The tenants had done quite a bit of damage. I'm slowly getting around to cleaning all the curtains and putting out the ornaments. Lucie's teething comes and goes but still no sign of any teeth. Her two big achievements this month are pulling herself up to standing (on everything) and crawling on all fours. She now does more animal noises, a duck, a cow and our favourite, a lion! She can also say a few words now; duck, cat, and baby.

We are both working now, Michael back at Yellow Pages and me back at my job at the hospital although only 2 1/2 days a week. Lucie goes to a lovely child carer called Jenni and she just loves it there. Two cats to chase and other children to play with. The weather here has been terrible. Heaps of rain and not much sun.

What does the doggy do?

Lucie is pulling herself up on anything she can but can only get to her knees.
Michael's brother brought her a miniture armchair which he made. It's so adorable and Lucie seems to like it.
She is till crawling along on her tummy and doesnt seem to be interested in crawling on her knees yet, thank god or she'd be even faster.
Dorothy & Steve bought her a baby piano toy which she loves and dances along to the music it plays.
Her favourite toy is Camilla the Camel which Auntie Sandra bought her. She clings onto it especially when she's tired or teething for comfort.
She now says "oof oof" when she sees a dog or you say to her "what does the doggy do".
She waves and claps on demand just by asking her now. I'm still dong the signing with her and I think it won't be long before she starts signing back.
